Today we learned about Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
from Kananaskis in the Classroom.
Ask me how animals and insects recycle in nature...
Fungus decomposes old trees
Carpenter ants break down material
Spiders recycle their webs.
We read
and got some ideas for Crazy Hair Day!
Ask me where the ponytail is...
behind her head, on the side of her head,
on top of her head and in front of her head
We read
and learned about all kinds of seeds.
Ask me what seeds become...
...plants!
Ask me how a seed is inventive...
...it travels in the air, on a shoestring or in a bear!
Ask me what a plant is thirsty and hungry for...
...water and sunlight!
Both Kindergarten classes are getting ready to plant our garden.
Ask me what these are called.
Peat pellets.
Ask me which one is thin and which one is thick.
What do we put inside the peat pellets? Seeds!
Observing the seeds with Room 8
What shape is this exhaust duct? A cylinder
soil, plant tray
planter, light,
a fan.
We look forward to planting our seeds!
Thanks,
Miss Anderson
