Today we practiced cutting at our discovery tables.

We read a book for Q.
What letter comes after Q... u!
 Ask me about this book.
How can we describe his hat...
How many small bells are there... how many big bells?
How many birds came to build their nests in his hat?
What does luminous mean... bright and shining!
The Quangle Wangle was being very... generous and kind!
We finished writing about our animals.
Ask me what I wrote.

Why did we read this book?
 Ask me about it.
How were the lion and the mouse kind to each other?
 How was Minna being kind...

What are some ways I can be kind?
What happened to the kindness bulletin board?
How were the students being kind?
What happened at the end of the story?
We started a book about what kind of butterfly...
Where do the milkweed's roots grow...
how does the stem grow...
What does it mean to taste home?
...to taste something familiar, something good
...something that reminds us of our mom or dad
...it makes us feel nice
Where does the monarch lay her eggs?
How many eggs does she lay on each plant...
 We observed our caterpillars.
Ask me what I saw.

Thanks,
Miss Anderson
