 but he isn't ready yet.

 Why is this butterfly called "Cracker"?
Because they make a cracking sound with their wings when they are bugged!  

 Can you see why this butterfly is named "Dogface"?

 Why is this called "Orangetip"?

 This butterfly is hidden very well. 
What is it doing... camouflaging! 
It is called the Indian Leaf Butterfly. 

 Say this name with me!
Kamehameha. 
These butterflies are only found in... Hawaii. 

 How does this butterfly keep warm?
The black wings absorb the sunlight and keep it warm. 

 These butterflies like to play hide and seek, just like we do!

 Why do you think this butterfly is called an "Owl Butterfly"?

 Our caterpillars are Painted Lady caterpillars!

 Butterflies have scales that are layered, like shingles on a roof. 

Take me outside to look at roofs for layered shingles. 

 What does transparent mean...

 Wow this butterfly must be... (big or small) to fit on top of a pencil!
